Adam's Running

Today was the first day of summer XC. I ran the 3 miles up to Legacy then went up to sliding rock. There was a new guy named Clayson. When I got home I looked up how fas the was and he ran a 15:09 5k. I think we could do really good at state this year.

Did a mountain run with Mahonri, Cole, and Clayson today. I felt like crap the whole time so it kind of sucked.

DId the river bed trail with Mahonri and Cole. The river was actually running so we couldn't go in the actual river bed.

Did a five mile loop with Cole, Clayson, and Mahonri.

Ran Hogs Hollow today with Cole, Clayson, and Mahonri. Once we hit the trail Clayson just started hammering the pace and he did all the way to the top. I am still feeling kind of sick so there was no way I could keep that pace for 8 miles up hogs so I stayed back with Cole. On the way down we stopped at sliding rock which was FRIDGID, but refreshing.  

We didn't run today because the seniors had the ACT and that makes up pretty much our whole team. I went on my own run at about 3:00. I did a mile and a half warm up to the trail behind Lone Peak, then ran tempo all the way to the end of Art Dye. Splits were 5:50, 6:00, 6:03. It was so hot I thought I was about to die. On the way back I took the other, single track trail back to the canal. Halfway through the trail I turned a corner and had to hurdle over two people having sex in the middle of the trail! Get a room people, geez. On the way home the Cedar Hills festival was still going so I ran through the carnival and through the firemen who were spraying the fire hose up in the air, which felt too good in the upper 90 degree weather.
