| 4 easy miles before region tomorrow. I'm pretty pumped, and I really think I can hang with Mike. If I can be within a few seconds of him then I'll be able to hang with Binghams fourth guy Adam, and if I can beat him we have a second place trophy in the bag.

| Today's race sucked. I was really looking forward to it, but my stomach was just raging the whole time and it just felt way harder than it should have been. The race went off and nobody was running very fast so when I went through the mile at 5:10 I was only 5 seconds behind the leaders. The second mile I just died. Coming around the tennis courts my stomach just clenched up and I just tucked in behind Jon. The two mile split was 10:36, which means the second mile was a 5:26 which is no good. The last mile I passed Jon and just ran with Mahonri all the way to the finish. Time and place weren't what I was hoping for but whatever, we qualified for state. We lost to Westlake, but Clayson was taking it pretty easy and we have the advantage in a bigger race. Now I just have to prepare myself for state.

| We ran down to Art Dye and played the handball game that we invented again. Afterwards Cole and I ran to AF. On the way back we ran into my cousin Ashton and Joe Simmons from AF. They snuck out of their workout so that they could come play with us but they were too late. We talked to them for 10 minutes until their team came running down the trail. Timo was pretty pissed at them, it was funny.

| After school we had 800, 600, 400, 200. The 8 was supposed to be at race pace but it was a little fast, so the times were 2:29, 1:44, 65, 29. I don't know how it's possibe, but there was wind coming at us on both sides of the track.

| Good distance run this morning. We rann on the timberline trail, then looped around down Westfield road. I road my bike up to Alpine and I thought my hands were going to fall off. When I got there and jumped into Claysons caar to warm up it said it was 31 degrees outside.
