Adam's Running

Had a good time up on Bonneville today. We only had 45 minutes to run before we needed to be back so Zack and I ran pretty quick. The weather was absolutely perfect and the trail conditions were just right which made for an awesome run. We averaged 5:56 pace on the 3.xmiles coming back which was kind of fun. Courtney never showed up to strength training so we just did a couple more miles and called it good.

Took the Act this morning. Didn't feel like I did very good on this one, but I got my score back on the one I took last month and I got a 30! Afterwards we were going to do a track workout, but it was covered with snow so we did a workout on the bikes instead. It was actually pretty difficult and everybody was sweating buckets.

Later I did 6.5 by myself on Canyon road. Also I improved my pr in the thing where you catch pennies off your elbow to 36.

Good couple games of tag, then down to AF and back. Afterwards we did 6x100m strides. On the last one we raced and I got second. Shoutout to Spencer for winning.

Time trials today for the whole track team. Ryan only wanted us doing the 400, so we warmed up like a mile and a half then got in our heats. I was in the second heat and I ran 57 seconds, which is a new PR for me. Everybody did really good, and almost all the distance guys were under 60. Afterwards we did a short little workout of 800, 400, 800, 400. I felt pretty good on these and ran 2:17, 65, 2:19, 65. The 800's felt a lot easier than the 400's which was weird. Afterwards we icebathed down in Hidden Oaks.

We had strength training before our run today out on the football field. Courtney kept making fun of me for my awful form on everything, but it was a good time overall. Afterwards we did mountain run and kind of ice bathed. I also came up with a haiku during the run and I thought it was pretty good so here it is:

Jumping on the tramp

Flock of geese fly overhead

Most majestic birds

Did Hogs Hollow today. Conditions were pretty good until the top where there was quite a bit of snow, which wasnt fun going up, but a ton of fun going down. When we got back to the park Josh Christensen was there with stuff to make pancakes, which made for a most excellent time.
