One of the worst races I have ever ran today. It was raging windy, and pretty  much just all around sucked. Came through the mile in 4:49, then stumbled home in a 5:05 lol. Typing this up on a computer in the Timpanogos commons which is kinda cool.

Bad race today. Struggled the last lap. Oh well.

Long run to Grove Creek and back.

We started biking the White Rim trail in Canyonlands today. We did about 30 miles, but it was really sandy this year so it was a lot harder. My cousin and I would do a mile here, and a couple miles there, but no real run today. We would just see a cool overlook or canyon and run out and back. Fun stuff.

This morning we woke up early and biked up to the fort bottom trail and ran it. I've done this run twice and it is probably my favorite route in the whole world. You can see a pic of it on instagram I posted this morning @adamjensen97.

Tough day of biking today. 40 miles with crazy wind and a couple of intense climbs.

I get to run in Park City for the next few days, which is always a good time. Ran up Main Street for a little before turning east and getting on some trails up on the mountainside. Park City is kind of like Alpine in the sense that there are trails everywhere. Felt sore from biking yesterday, so I kept it pretty easy at about 6:50 pace.

Ran down to PC high school to do my workout, 5x800. I have done a few workouts on this track now and it is definitely one my faves. Times were 2:22, 2:22, 2:21, 2:21, 2:21. Considering I was alone, still sore, and at 7000 feet I was very pleased with how the workout went. It was also perfect weather which always makes workouts a little more enjoyable. Afterwards I did 8x100 strides just cuz it was a beautiful day and I was feeling pretty good.

Long run in Park City. I found a really cool trail that went from the hotel to Kimball Junction that was all dirt. Felt pretty good and averaged 6:30 pace throughout the whole thing.

Awful workout. Had allergies so I was only able to do 8 of the 400's. Times weren't great but whatever.

Solid few games of tag with golf course after.

Fun workout today. It was only 600, 400, 200, 600, 400, 200, so it wasn't very hard, but they were all pretty fast. It was also pretty windy and cold. Times were 1:42, 63, 29, 1:40, 62, 29. I felt really good, and still felt like I had quite a bit left which is always good. 

Easy miles in Alpine with some strides after.

Got to the race today and learned I was in the slow heat. Because of that and the fact it was windy I really just didn't feel like going all out, so I decided to just take the first laps at a tempo kind of pace and kick the last 400. The gun went off and I tucked in so I was out of the wind on the first lap, and we came through in 70. Next lap was a 71 and I came through in 2:21. The 1200 split was 3:33-34 and I picked it up. I passed like 8 people and ran like a 65 for a 4:39. It was pretty fun, and definitely the easiest 4:39 I've ever run. 

Got to the race at about 8:30 and sat around for a while before warming up. Gun went off and I got decently, tucking in with the chase pack. I just kind of followed those guys and we came through in 68, then 2:21, then 3:33, which were almost exactly my splits from yesterday haha. At the mile we came through in 4:45, and it was just down to me and Connor, with Zack Jacklin, Will Handley, and Joe Benson all a bit ahead of us. I just kind of sat behind Connor for the next two laps, then went ahead with 900 left and took us through until 400 to go he took off. I tried to hang on the best I could but my kick really sucked. I ended up barely outleaning Ryan Raff at the line who came up from behind really sneakily. It was a pretty fun race and my first PR in the two mile since this meet last year. I have been really off in my races lately so it was good to finally get back on track so to speak. I also know I can run the qualifying time next week at Davis or at BYU hopefully. Shoutout to Connor Baller because Timo kept mixing us up while we was commentating, and for pulling me to a PR. Also shout out to to Justin for running 10:01.

Solid run on Bonneville Shoreline with some adventures up in the foothills to go with it. after we got back we drove up the canyon and ice bathed in the river. Good times .

Pretty hard workout on the track today. It was 200, 400, 600, 800, 1200, 400, 400. I always hate it when the intervals keep getting longer throughout the workout, but it's good for me I guess. Times were 29, 65, 1:37, 2:18, 2:28(I got a side cramp 600 into the 1200 and had to pull out.), then 65, 65. Overall a good workout, especially with how hot it was. Afterwards we ice bathed up the canyon. Also I totally got a skateboard today, and I'm pretty pumped to go ride it right now.

We did mountain run today. Twas a good time, and Justin showed us a cool fort he found. Our last couple miles were a little faster than we probably should have run them, and our last mile was around 5:10 lol.

Fun workout today, it was only 3 sets of 400, 300, 200, so it wasn't too hard, but it is always fun when we get to run a little faster. Times were 65, 47, 29, 63, 45, 29, 61, 45, 29. I felt pretty good, especially on the 400. Afterwards we went up to the mouth of the canyon to ice bath. We found some big logs and created a pretty cool little bench.

Easy Premeet

Ok race today. 5 minutes before it started the weather got terrible all of the sudden, so the entire race it was windy and rainy. The pace was really slow at the beginning, but because of that I had a good kick and actually outkicked Colton Rimman from Davis finally. I swear he always beats me by the smallest margins, so it was good to come out on top. The 4x800 was FREEZING, and I only ran a 2:12 splitting 63, 69 lol.

Solid run down to Discovery Park and back. We were going pretty fast, and averaged like a 6:10 pace. Afterwards we did strides on the football field. Twas a beautiful day. I think I am running the mile and two mile at BYU, and am pretty pumped. 

Fun workout, it was 400, 300, 400, 300, 400, 300, 400, 400 all at a little faster than mile pace, and we only had about a minute of recovery inbetween each interval. They ended up being closer to 800 pace, but I guess that's a good thing haha. Times were 46's on all the 300's and 64, 63, 63, 63, 62 on the 400's. Didn't really feel too hard, which is definitely a good sign for BYU. Afterwards we went and ice bathed in a river but kicked out of our original spot by an angry old lady claiming we were "trespassing", what does that even mean anyway? We ended up finding a better spot further down the river, so jokes on you old lady.

Easy run before we had to be back at the school to help with the meet. Went down past AF and back. I was the guy in charge of the flag saying if they could start or not. Fun stuff.

Super easy run before BYU tomorrow. I'm so pumped for this two mile. Out of the 12 5A guys running, 3 are from AF, 4 are from Davis, 4 are from Lone Peak, and theres 1 guy from Lehi. I don't think we've ever had more than one guy qualify, which is a good sign for cross country next year. I totes just shaved my legs for the race tomorrow, which should by itself take about 8 seconds off, so State qualifying is definitely within reach.
