Had to run by myself so I did five mile loop with some extra, and some strides. Felt ok.

Did 7 at practice at like 6:40 pace. Did a loop on the golf course and up by the canyon, then came down aviary. Afterwards I did three miles of running flyers which sucked. I've had a cough for the last week and it is really annoying.

Did the freedom run today in Provo. I got to the race and realized I had forgotten my bib and chip, so I didn't get an official time or trophy. The race started and I got out well. I just tucked in with the front pack and Jamison for the first mile. The front few guys started pulling away from Jamison and I when we hit the parade route, and when we hit about 2.5 Jamison dropped off hard and I was by myself for a while. I didn't have a watch to get my splits but they were way too fast the first 5k and I slowed down big time. Going in to mile four I was struggling, but then another high school kid passed me and I decided to just try and hang on to him. He had about twenty feet on me at one point, but I passed him with about 800 to go and tried to kick from about 600 out. I thought I had him until he passed me with 100 to go and I just didn't have it in my legs to speed up. I ended up running 34:08, so kind of close to my PR. I have had a cough all week though and I didn't have very much confidence that I would do well today so I was pleased to still run ok. Lil Warner started two minutes late and clocked himself at 32:50 ish haha. My goal now is to break 33:00 at Des News. Afterwards cooled down with The team and Zac Jacklin.

Did a section of mountain run with the Timberline trail after. Pretty easy pace because a lot of us were still tired from Saturday, but we picked it up towards the end. Also ran flyers for an hour before so I'll call it a mile.

Fun run today. We went up to Lambert and ran High Bench, Spring, and Middle Spring. Coming down Grove we started cruising, and even got going sub 5:30 pace the last couple miles. It felt pretty easy too which is good. Will set a new PR of 5:28 (was 5:50)on the last mile haha. Strides after, felt wonderful.

Went to practice but turned back early because me and Ashton are going to summit Mount Superior and Monte Cristo later. 6 total including running flyers before practice.

Later Ashton and I headed up Little Cottonwood. We got a late start and didn't make it to the trailhead until 7:00, but we just made sure to keep the pace honest and try not to take very many breaks. The first mile and a half wasn't very technical, but very steep and my calves were burning hardcore. Once we got up to the ridge running became impossible, and the last mile to the summit took about 45 minutes probly. Lots of Rock scrambling and climbing, which made for a fun time. We got to the top of Superior and saw that a storm was rolling in so we hurried over to the peak of Monte Cristo, then started scurrying back down the ridge. We made it back to the car right as we ran out of light, and it started raining. It was a good thing we hurried because getting caught on top of a mountain in that storm could have been pretty ugly.

First workout today! 4x666 meter hills on Dustin's hill. Sadly my legs were still pretty wrecked from summiting superior 10 hours earlier and I ran most of the workout with Steven and Trevor. Times were 2:44, 2:44, 2:43, 2:35. Super slow times, but my legs would just not move fast. Oh well, I will just kill the next hill workout and prepare for it a little smarter. Seth killed it today, and if he can stay consistent could be the fifth guy we need to be an NXN team.

Nice easy recovery day. We went up the Hogs trail then turned at the intersection. When we got back we had breakfast at the park. I ate a lot of watermelon.

Did hogs today with a little 15 minute tempo in the middle. Felt tired for a lot of it, but the last couple miles felt pretty solid. 'Twas my first time running hogs this summer and it was just as fun as I remembered it to be. Later ran a couple miles of flyers.

Solid nap today, and a good four hour sesh of Arrested Development. A much needed recovery day. This week we r going to be in St George from Thursday to Saturday for a family reunion. Maybe I'll hit up Pineview or Desert Hills and run with them. I want to hit 55 miles this week.

We did Middle Spring in Lambert today. It was pretty fun. Our first four miles were all really slow, but then our last four were all at like 5:45 pace. I think I may go longboarding later...

Ran flyers before practice, then had to book it to make it to the park in time. I barely made it though which was good. We had a Fartlek sort of workout today: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1(minutes), with equal recovery. This is one of my favorite workouts that we do, and we do it quite a bit. The five and four both went well, we were under 5:20 pace even with some pretty good hills in the middle of both. The three we were cruising and were around 4:40 pace on, then the two and the one were both just ragin' fast. Seth looked really good throughout and Craik killed the last interval, and I'm thinking one of those two will be our fifth guy. Afterwards we cooled down for about three miles to get about 9 total.

Today we did the loop that goes down on the golf course and wraps up by the canyon, then we did extnded mountain run to get to 8. Afterwards 5 of us did pickup Wednesday at the park. My team won the first game, then we switched teams up and I lost the second. The hoops are at perfect height for dunking, and I made sure to posterize Craik more than once.

I'm in St george for a family reunion so I went and ran with Pineview for a couple days. We did a barefoot warmup on the grass, then did drills and stuff before heading out on the run. We ran into the desert for like 23 minutes than turned around. It was a pretty fun run and all the guys were pretty cool. Afterwards I did some strides once I got back to the hotel.

Met the the PV team at Green Springs park for my run today. We went up this trail for a while, the met up with a road that goes up to a place called "turkey farm", and turned around at 32 minutes. We were going pretty slow, but it felt nice, and on the way back Nick, Alex, Jake, and I picked it up a tad. Once we got back to the park I stretched for a while then headed out for another few miles so I could hit my goal for the week. 'Twas a fun couple days of running and I'm glad I went and ran with the Pineview dudes.

5x666m hills today. Accidentally slept in til 7:25 then booked it down to practice. I did the first three with the team, then did the last two by myself when they were done. My first three were 2:31, 2:27, 2:34, then my next two I didn't time because I didn't have a watch. Felt pretty good, and hit decent times on them considering I didn't have anyone to run with cuz Zack and Lil Warner were gone, and Jamison was sick.

Super fun race. I probably didn't prepare the best I could have, because I went to the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club concert the night before, and in typical Twilight series fashion I inhaled a lot if secondhand smoke and probably danced too hard. Anyway after the concert I met up with Jamison, lil Warner, and Justin and we set up our hammocks in a little grove of trees about 200 meters away from the start line. We woke up at five(four hours of sleep) and headed down to warm up and go to the bathroom. The gun went off and lil Warner and I got a decent start. After about a quarter mile we settled in with Alek Parsons and Garrett Barton from Ogden, and stayed with them for the first two miles. Alek had to stop and tie his shoe twice in the first mile haha. First three mile splits were 4:58, 10:00, and 15:20. At this point Alek and lil Warner started pulling away from me, and the rest of the race I was running by myself. I dropped off the pace in the next couple miles and just tried to hold on. In the last 50 meters I got out kicked by Ryan Raff which kind of irked me, but I was happy with my time, and it was a really fun race. Lil Warner ended up runnin 32:15, Jamison ran 33:39, and Justin ran 34:35. We got second in the team race behind Ogden, but I think we would have won if they scored five.

My cousin and I woke up and summited White Baldy today. It was about a mile up to silver glance lake, then a couple miles up to the summit. It was probly the toughest peak I've done in the wasatch. From Silver lake up there was no trail, so we just had to find a chute that looked climbable and head up to the ridge. The final ascent was all pretty sketchy rock scrambling, but we made it up fine. I've decided before I go on my mission I want to summit all the 11,000 footers on the wasatch. I've done 7 or 8, and ther is like 22 or something total.
