Adam's Running

Mountain run with Timberline trail afterwards. Me and Lil' Warner were cruising on the Timberline trail and dropped everyone by quite a bit. 6:52 pace overall.

Easy seven miles. Marc's knee was hurting so I just stayed back with him and ran a nice easy pace. 7:08 pace overall. Tomorrow we have hill repeats which will be fun.

First real workout of the season today. 6x660 meter hills up Dustin's hill. Lil' Warner was gone today so i did much of the workout solo, but Marc and Steve were there helping out with timing  and would run with me for the last 200 or so. Times were 2:28, 2:28, 2:32, 2:36, 2:36, 2:36. It was kind of wierd not having anyone with me in a workout, but it felt really good to run hard and fast.

There wasn't very many people at practice today, so I ended up running with Steve for most of it. We ran through Lambert then finished with some barefoot miles on the grass. Steve is just running with us until he feels like he is in good enough shape to go start running with the BYU team.

This morning I went on a run up the canyon right by Utah State. We are staying here for youth conference and I wanted to make sure I didn't slack off at all on my training. I was feeling a little tight because we played basketball for like two hours the night before at the rec center. Our team made up of a bunch of guys from our ward who don't even really play basketball almost beat cyprus high schools varsity team, which I thought was funny. I got to the mouth of the canyon and found a trail that went up onto the side of the cliff face and followed it through the canyon for about 2 miles, before hopping back down to the bottom of the canyon and following a different trail along the river. went up for 31:30 and down in 28 minutes.

Later we did a hike and I ran most of it.

Got back from youth conference and did the mountain run from my house.
