| first run back! This week I just have 30 minutes everyday which will be nice since I'm gonna be busy. Missed running with the team this morning cuz I had work so ended up running at 9:30 at night by myself. It was crazy windy but I was still running pretty fast. Ran a four mile loop on canyon road then went to the school and did 4x100 meter strides. Felt good to get back at it.

| I am in St George area for high adventure, so I ran 15 minutes out around sand hollow reservoir, then came back. Air is hot and dry.

| Ran to Jamisons church, balled for for two hours with a bunch of guys on the football team, then ran home on canyon road/golf course.

| had to run flyers in the morning, mapped it out and I actually got like 2.5 miles so that was cool. And I got paid to do it which was even more cool.
Later did my real run. I convinced my girlfriend to bike with me so I ended up running a bit faster than normal haha. Got 4.75 miles in the 30 minutes, then 4x100 strides after. First four miles of my run were in 24 minutes then I slowed down cuz I didn't need to be going that fast. We went on some paved trails that run thru highland. It has rained a bunch earlier so temperature was wonderful and everything smelled fantastic.

| Went and ran with the team today, we did sliding rock. There was construction at the gate so we went around through the brush until we popped out onto the road. Coming down we just ran thru the condtruction and they were cool about it.
Later went hiking for a couple hours.

| Fun run with the team today. We ran up to lambert and did middle spring. Havent done a real trail run in a while so it was fun, and Cole gray came and ran with us so that was exciting. Trevor hurt himself again which sucks. Ive never met anyone esle so injury prone as Trevor. Afterwards did strides with Jonas at the park.

| Did my run at the hottest part of the day, so I drove up to Timpenooke to try and escape the worst of the heat. Did the ridge trail, which is very hilly and at 8000 feet elevation. It was tough by myself in the heat, but I got through it, and it is beautiful up there right now which helped. Finished then did 4x100 hill strides.

| Hiked Lone Peak from 11 pm to 5:30 am with Walton. Normally I dont count hiking miles, but Lone Peak is so rough I make an exception. It's considered by a lot of people to be the hardest peak in the wasatch due to mileage and elevation gain. The first bit up to about 7000 feet was pretty nice, and we were going very fast. We almost stepped on a rattlesnake which was scary, but we jumped out of its way when we heard the rattles go off. From 7000 to 9200 feet is by far the roughest part. This is the Jacob's Ladder portion, and it is straight up. Walton is in great hiking shape right now, so we didnt take any breaks up this part which is brutal because the grade is just painful its so steep. Made it up to the meadow and I was relieved to have put the hardest part behind us so quickly, and we made our way across the granite fields up to the cirque. At this point we ran into some serious snow, and getting up some parts was hard. Eventually we climbed a chute to the final ridge and the snow disappeared which was a blessing, because if there had been any snow on the final ascent I wouldnt have done it cuz it would be too dangerous. Summited at 2:30, took a a couple minutes to rest and headed down. coming down the snow was fun cuz you could slide for a long time and it made it a lot quicker. Once we got to the meadow we started running and we made it down jacobs ladder pretty quick, although it sucked cuz its so steep and my quads were just destroyed. Cruised down to the car and made it home by 6:00. Brutal hike as always with Lone peak, but its always a satisfying moment when you finish an 11,000 footer.

| Ran down to the Quilted Bear, which is where my girlfriend works, then got a ride home. 6 miles in the heat, and I definitely ate dinner way too soon before I ran. My stomache was killing, but I made it down pretty quick, like 45 minutes with at least a 5 minute bathroom break halfway through, so like 38-40 minutes running time.
Later went to my friend Jensen's birthday party, and it made me thankful I was a part of the XC team. XC people are just awesome, and there is very few D-bags compared to other sports. There were a bunch of AF baseball players there and they are just horrible human beings.

| Ran at about 3:00 in the afternoon while Ali biked with me. We just started from her house and went into Alpine a ways then turned around at 25 minutes. Fun run, it felt easy but when I got back and mapped it out it turned out we were running like 6:29 pace which was way faster than I thought. Good stuff overall, first half of the week felt crummy, these last few days have felt really really good.

| Did a loop up onto Bonneville shoreline, then came down onto the canal and came home by my cousins house. Got exactly 6 miles in the 40 minutes I was running, so 6:40 average pace. On the canal I got chased by a dog for a little and for about a mile and a half after I was running 5:40 pace. Afterwards did 4x100m Hill strides. Also did 100 pushups and 25 pullups.

| Good run today. Went up on bonneville, then looped down to the canal and came back around to the high school. Did a mile on the track in 5:28, just cruisin', and ran home. got 8 miles in 50 minutes, so 6:14 average pace. Feeling good right now.

| Up in Park City with the fam, so I wasn't able to run until about 10:30 at night. It was tough to get the motivation to get out the door, but once I was out there I was feeling good. Just ran up Park avenue for 20 minutes then turned around.
