Good run on Bonneville. We were going really fast considering snowy and muddy conditions. When we got back we raced a 400 speed walking on the track. I got third in like 1:45 ish so not bad. 6x100 strides after.

Met at 5:45 am for our run this morning. We just kind of ran around on the roads of Alpine for 8 miles. I really dont like these morning runs, and nobody really shows up, although it is nice to be able to go home after school.

Did a modest run at practice. The pond is frozen which adds a new dynamic, although im not very good at running on the ice so I try to avoid it for the most part. After did a workout where we drew cards from a deck and hearts were pushups, spades were situps, clubs were squats, and diamonds were burpies. my team was done fastest so that was cool.

Later at like 1:30 am I snuck out and ran with my friend Ali. We only went a couple miles, and it was an absolutely fantastic time.

Good run on Alpine loop. Everybody else was going 7, but I wanted 8 so we split at the gas station. After we split I started cruising down Alpine highway, I dont know what pace I was going, but it was fast. Craik brought his boxing gloves so when we got back we had some fights. Craik and I had a pretty gnarly fight where we both got a bunch of solid hits on each other. Josh got destroyed by Chris haha. Good times.

Missed practice so I ran by myself. Ran on Bonneville then down on the canal to the school and did 6x100 strides. I found out today I'm one of four finalists for best artist in my class. Regan is definitely better than me, but I like my chances cuz I've got a lot of people saying they voted for me. Pumped for BYU tomorrow.

BYU indoor today! It was a lot of fun. We got there and I warmed up for the mile, I was hoping to be in the fast heat but I ended up being in the second to fastest :(. It was still a great race though, the gun went off and I got great position in second behind Shane Henderson in second. Eventually he dropped off, but as he did Zack came by and I filed in behind him. The two of us led laps 3 and 4 then as we hit 300 to go Patrick Parker came by us and just took off. From there I just hung on to Zack and made sure nobody else passed me. I ended up in 4:33 which I was very pleased with. That's like a 4:31 1600, and I haven't had a single hard effort since nationals a month ago. I was looking at old results and my time would have been top 6 almost any other year, but I got 12th haha. Afterwards I went and grabbed some food from Panda, then took a nap for a couple hours. When it was time for the 800 I warmed up with Seth, then went and sat in the bullpen for a while. I was in horrible position on the line, so when the race started I let everyone go ahead and went to the back. I just chilled there for the first 400 and came through in like 64 high haha. Once we hit one lap to go I threw in a surge and passed everyone in the field but one guy and tried to reel him in but he had to much of a head start. Time was 2:07.1 so my last 400 was like a 62. It felt surprisingly easy, and when I finished I felt fine which is weird for an 800. I think if I get in a fast race where I get dragged to a fast 400 I could run in the 2:01-2:03 range right now. Afterwards Lil' Warner and I went on like a 4.5 mile cool down up this massive steep hill then back down to campus on some trails. I think I'm in shape to PR at these next couple indoor races.
