| Stopped in Mesquite for a run, we did a 3, 2, 1 tempo thing to kind of loosen up our legs. We found a super cool trail to do it on. Overall a really fun time. |

| Got to the course early for the freshman races, so I had a lot of time to kill before my race. Everyone ran very well in their races, especially Zack who won the sophomore race. At about 10:00 Lil' Warner and I started warming up. We got to the line with plenty of time to do strides and stuff which was good. I lined up next to my cousin from Washington on the left side on the front line. The gun went off and I didn't get out very well. I got swallowed up by the second line pretty early, and was in about 150th 400 in. This was a big mistake, and I ended up being super boxed in that first mile. There were points that I had to completely stop at turns which sucked. I came through the mile in 5:15 which was way too slow. Once we started up the switchbacks I was finally able to pass people, and from there to the top of poopout I passed about 70-80 people. Second mile was a 5:25. On the last mile I really pressed, but I was too slow through the first two miles to get my goal of 16:20. 3rd mile was a 5:05 which I was happy about, and I passed more people until I was top 40. On the track I got passed by Adam Haynes of Bingham, but besides that didn't get passed or pass by anyone else. Overall I was satisfied with my race, but I know if I had gone out a lot harder I could have run a lot faster. Oh well, next year my goal will be top ten. |

| Ran up the canyon until we hit 20, then turned around. This was the first run since before my break that I felt really good. One of the new kids named Trevor is looking like he is going to be very good. He has stayed with the top group on our runs the past two days, hopefully he can keep it up.

| Skipped school and went running with my cousins Ashton and Spencer. We went up to Lambert and did a bunch of trails. It was pretty muddy, but it made kind of fun. Spencer was struggling due to the jump in elevation from Washington to here.

| Ran down to Gold's gym in American Fork and lifted with my dad. We went and got a wierd acupuncture check up thing today and I was in perfect health in everything except for sleep.

| Met at Legacy for practice. We ran up to the intersection on the Hogs trail then turned and made a big loop back. It was freezing until the sun came up.

| Stayed up til 3 last night so I slept in and did my own run later. I drove up to Grove creek, then ran up for 35 minutes and turned around. It was super fun! A lot of the trail was decently packed until about 2.5 in it got really deep, so I gave up cause I wasn't really able to run anymore. Coming down I was absolutely flying, and was feeling really good until I almost died. I forgot about a really sharp turn on a cliff, but luckily I was able to skid to a stop centimeters away from the edge. Very scary and I took it easy the rest of the way down. Overall a very fun run!

| I didn't run today, but I went snowshoeing with my cousin and uncle and it was harder than running so I am counting it. We started at Tibble Fork then made a huge 13-14 mile loop up to the summit of Mill peak and back. it took 8 hours and let me tell you that my legs haven't been that tired in probably my whole life.
